UNITED STATES/Classified documents reveal American intelligence’s feelings

NEW YORK (TNC News) | Revealing US intelligence documents were leaked to notable newspapers around the world such as The New York Times, the UK’s the Guardian, France’s Le Monde, and Germany’s Der Spiegel. The documents show that they criticized world leaders such as Former British PM Gordon Brown (Lab), Current British PM David Cameron (Con), French Pres. Nicolas Sarkozy (UMP) by calling him a “emperor with no clothes”, Afghan Pres. Hamid Karzai, and German Chancellor Angela Merkel (CDU) by calling her a “risk averse” and her foreign minister as a “wild card”.

The leaked documents also show that North Korea-ally, China has shown support for a United Korea under the current South Korean government.

It also shows differing views on world opinion such as the conflicts in the Middle East and Pakistan.

PAKISTAN/BREAKING: Plane crash north of national capital

ISLAMABAD (BBC News) | A plane has crashed in hills north of the Pakistani capital, Islamabad.

Police said it was an Airblue flight to Islamabad via Karachi, with more than 150 people on board.

It crashed in the Margalla Hills to the north of the city, and Pakistani television showed images of foggy, rainy hillside with helicopters flying overhead.

A huge rescue effort has been launched.

"There is smoke, but we have not been able to reach there. It is surrounded by the hills and there is no road access," police official Sayed Subhan told the AFP news agency.

"There were 146 passengers and six crewmen on board. We are gathering information. We have no more details," Mubarik Shah, spokesman of the state-run Civil Aviation Authority, told the Reuters news agency.

Initial reports said the flight originated in Turkey, but this has not been confirmed.

DUBAI | The world’s tallest structure ever built, the Burj Khalifa (originally Burj Dubai) was opened today in the Downtown Burj Khalifa District. The Burj Dubai was renamed today in honor of the current UAE President Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed al Nahyan. The tower cost about $USD 1.5 billion. The Tower surpassed the previous tallest building, Taipei 101 in Taipei, ROC Taiwan.
